Emergency Action Guides
Emergencies can happen at any time. The most effective way to handle a crisis situation is to prepare in advance by creating an Emergency Action Plan. An emergency action plan (EAP) is a written procedure detailing the appropriate response to various types of emergencies. The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requires written EAPs. An EAP is an essential component of an organization’s safety procedures.

Evacuation plans are revised each year and drills for most buildings are conducted annually.
AED unit availability
Our college has installed AED units in most of our buildings, and maintains a training program to keep people certified in using them. Please talk to your local safety officer for more information.

Business Continuity Planning
Creating a continuity plan is essential for your unit or office. Having a plan helps your office continue its business uninterrupted after an emergency or disaster. A situation can affect anything from the compromising of confidential work to staffing, and it's important to be prepared for all possible outcomes. Maintaining a plan keeps your unit's vital attributes safe, secure, and in operation.
- All University departments on all campuses are required to develop Business Continuity Plans for their offices. Please contact the administrative staff in your area about your unit's Business Continuity Plan.
