The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) serves as a vital bridge between the staff of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS) and college leadership. Our mission is to facilitate open communication on all issues related to staff policy, welfare, and goals.
What We Do
SAC plays a central role in:
- Acting as a liaison between EMS staff and college leadership
- Coordinating events such as the annual staff appreciation luncheon
- Managing staff awards, including the Rock in Role Award
- Addressing concerns raised by EMS staff
- Promoting the goals of the college
Get Involved
We are looking for passionate volunteers who are eager to contribute to our community. There’s no limit on the number of staff from a particular sub-unit, and not every sub-unit needs to be represented. SAC is all about fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone in EMS. If you have ideas or would like to volunteer, please reach out.
