Want to incorporate more about sustainability topics in your courses?
Many EMS instructors have done so and have shared their work as Open Educational Resources which freely available for you to use, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute under a Creative Commons license! To find these resources and more, check out ROAM - the University's Repository for Open and Affordable Materials, which contains high-quality teaching materials written by Penn State instructors. ROAM is searchable, enabling you to locate resources easily.
While you are visiting ROAM, be sure to take a look at the collection of videos featuring sustainability-focused site visits from a May 2023 faculty-led trip to Australia and New Zealand – these would be a great resource for introducing sustainable business practices in your course. You can learn more about this collection in the Penn State News >>

Online sites such as MERLOT and SUNY’s OASIS are great sources for additional OER textbooks, courses, and even simulations on a wide variety of topics. More information about finding and using OER, plus information about how Penn State’s OER team can help you, can be found on the University’s OER website.
