It takes a significant commitment to develop the next generation of world leaders. Our students will graduate from the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and be asked to address global challenges that will require innovative thinking, a collaborative spirit, and an entrepreneurial drive. They will be motivated to succeed and to lead. It is incumbent upon us to prepare these young people with the best, most comprehensive education possible.
With government funding increasingly under strain, our future leadership in public higher education depends upon our supporters. That leadership will be guided by the same commitments and the same land-grant mission that have made Penn State great, even as we respond to the needs of our students and a changing world.
